Joe Benjamin, now further down the Cobblers’ attacking pecking order after recent signings, has returned to Eastbourne Borough on loan for the remainder of the season. Benji had already spent a month on loan with the Sussex club earlier this campaign and impressed enough for Borough to enquire again about his availability.
The Cobblers have signed another forward, Stephen O’Flynn, already in the transfer window and Benjamin should benefit more from a loan stint than sitting on the bench and playing a few reserve games until May.
Meanwhile, Sammo has confirmed that there are only FOUR Cobblers players that will not be out of contract this summer and that the players are all playing for their contracts in the second half of the season. Hopefully the desire to earn longer deals helps us through the first half of 2010, starting at Macclesfield this weekend!
