Ex Coventry stalwart Marcus Hall has been offered a contract by the Cobblers as Sammo looks for experience to cover the hole left by Peter Gilbert's departure last week. Hall was released by the Sky Blues at the end of last season having made over 300 appearances for the club during two spells.
The defender played 45 minutes in the friendly win at Long Buckby on Saturday and is expected to do the same this evening at Kettering Town where Sammo will once again choose a different eleven for each half of the game.
