Defender Chris McCready has signed for the Cobblers' League Two rivals Morecambe on a free transfer. McCready was never in Sammo's plans and was farmed out on loan to Tranmere Rovers last season.
Signed by Stuart Gray, he only made 18 appearances for the club and when Sammo came in and changed things around it always looked like his days in a claret shirt were numbered.
And so he will line up against us next season, a season which begins a week on Saturday!
