Is the Withdean a good place to hit back...?

The Cobblers travel to Brighton this evening and despite for successive defeats, the Withdean could be the ideal place to get back on track. In recent weeks we’ve suffered defeats to Colchester, Leicester, Oldham and Walsall and no-one with a Cobblers interest would put money on a win this evening to stop the rot.

But could the Withdean be the best place for such a game, in which defeat could be another massive dent in our season? With barely 50 Town fans expected to make the trip and a nervous and depleted home crowd, the pressure cooker atmosphere of previous weeks will be gone and the openness of the ground will make for a less intense playing arena.

So this could play into our hands as the perfect place to get back on course for League One survival. Changes are aplenty at Albion with Mickey Adams now gone and a search for a new manager brings its own disruptions. Now it’s down to us to take advantage or face a difficult trip to bottom club Cheltenham on Saturday in deeper trouble than we already are.
