Tomorrow night sees the first home friendly as the Cobblers meet Coventry City at Sixfields and we'll be looking for a step up in standard as the Championship side comes to town. After a defeat to Corby on Saturday, Ian Sampson stated poor defending as the reason for the early pre-season wobble and the problems certainly need sorting soon.
You can't read too much into results at this stage of course but worries will begin to start in the Town fans' minds should we lose heavily tomorrow evening. City have beaten Nuneaton and Hinckley in their initial preparation and will see this as the next step up challenge wise.
Just under three weeks to go now and the pre-season is really beginning to kick in and expect decisions on trialists very soon.
