Triple injury blow ahead of Saturday
There's been a blow to preparations for Saturday's game with three midfield players picking up injuries in a midweek game. Designed to give a few players some game time, the behind closed doors friendly with Nottingham Forest turned into a disaster when Kevin Thornton, John Curtis and Luke Guttridge all picked up injuries.
Thornton and Curtis are now certain to miss the Darlington game whilst Guttridge is touch and go, leaving us short in midfield. Alex Dyer will be the favourite to come in whilst Ryan Gilligan returned last week and did well at Port Vale so he should provide some cover at least.
Meanwhile, Steve Guinan is back in training but won't be used just yet.
