A lot of water has passed under the bridge since our last meeting with the Railwaymen on the opening day of the season. John Gorman decided enough was enough, Scott McGleish banged in the goals and then left, closely followed by Luke Chambers while the Sixfields Starling have often provided more entertainment than the action on the pitch.
Since that 2-2 draw way back in August, we've flirted with relegation before Stuart Gray picked us up a little and has taken us to mid-table. Crewe have gone the other way, starting well but fading as late and the 4-0 home drubbing by lowly Orient last week will have them wanting to make amends this afternoon.
Kenny Deuchar (have I spelt it right yet?) and Mark Hughes look set for their debuts, slotting in for the departed due of Scotty and Chambers while James Quinn will most likely drop to the bench. A chance to move up the table a little this afternoon but the Railwaymen should certainly not be taken lightly.
We'll probably win now I'm not going!
