The Cobblers have this morning completed the loan signing of Blackburn Rover goalkeeper Frank Fielding.
Fielding, 20, has been capped at England Under 19s level and was the Blackburn reserve team captain during the 2006/07 season. The keeper was on loan with Wycombe Wanderers last season and Fielding went on to make 39 appearances in League Two for the Chairboys.
The deal bringing Fielding to Sixfields will last for up to three months with the contract being reviewed on a monthly basis and he will play for the Cobblers reserve team on Tuesday afternoon.
