Cobblers defender Luke Chambers today completed his expected move to join former boss Colin Calderwood at Nottingham Forest for an undisclosed fee. Chambers leaves us having made 149 appearances for the club. Chambers can not play in the game between the clubs in two weeks as part of the deal.
Rumours were that the fee included a player exhange with Forest for striker Jack Lester but no news on anything liek that materialising as yet.
So good luck to Chambers and hopefully he will fulfill his potential at a club that is more than likely going to be promoted this season.
As for the Cobblers, well, we switch our attention now to tomorrow's final day of the transfer window. An experienced striker is surely needed and we wait to see if any money from the Chambers and McGleish deals will be spent on new faces.
