The new year was seen in with a quiet evening and a loud night/morning.
Heading round to Dave and Marti's to join Tina and Jamie for an evening of usual random conversation and the not so usual board game playing, it was a great way to see in 2007 and proved that you don't need massive nights out and wild parties for new years if the right people are with you.
We very nearly missed the countdown after getting stuck in the middle of a game of Outburst. Outburst is a game where you have to name ten things that's on your opponents' cards, all linked to one subject. Our chosen subject was "Things you would find in a kitchen" and meant that 2007 was incredibly seen in by me shouting "Ladle, Ladle" at Dave and pretty much summed up the superb randomness of the company I keep!
Dave and Marti had to get some kip in before their 3am departure for Portugal and so we headed for the pub that had housed many fond memories of 2006- the Frog and Frigate. I was pretty knackered by 4am and it was lucky that we could find a taxi because I didn't fancy the hour long walk home!
So here we go with 2007...
