Cobblers appoint Gray

The Cobblers have this afternoon appointed former Southampton manager Stuart Gray as the new manager.


Gray's previous clubs include the Saints, Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers and he's worked under high profile managers like Glenn Hoddle and Graham Taylor.


A bit of a surprise appointment after some of the names that were linked with the job but he falls under a similar category as Colin Calderwood when he joined in 2003. Ian Sampson and Jim Barron ramain at the club as first team coaches.
