The Cobblers have this afternoon signed Ipswich Town striker Billy Clarke on a one month loan deal. Clarke, 21, has been on loan at Darlington for the first half of this season where he scored nine times in 21 appearances for The Quakers.
Signing his first professional deal in December 2004, Clarke has come through the ranks at Portman Road and made his debut the following year in a Championship game against Cardiff City. He has spent time on loan at Falkirk and Colchester and now joins the Cobblers until mid-February.
Clarke will be likely to make his debut in Saturday's home game with bottom club Crewe Alexandra.
