No Saints kicked off a brand new era last night as we finally returned to action for the first time since November. Pitch Invasion have taken over at our old stomping ground of Eastleigh FC and with new faces Adam and Dom starting we had a squad of six raring to go. Phil was missing through illness whilst Scott is still away with work.
In swirling winds and rain, we quickly got back into the tempo of old and Aaron netted from close range to give us the lead. It stayed at 1-0 until half time and a quick regroup was followed by Adam scoring a debut goal after rounding the keeper for 2-0. It could easily have been more with the post hit twice but it was our opposition that found the net next with a break away goal. But it was too late and soon after the whistle went and we were victorious in the first game back.
There is only one league at the moment and other leagues are set to be added but for now it’s great to be back in the white and red and here’s to a successful return season!
