Cobblers v Millwall (Carling Cup) Preview...

After the 1-1 draw with Swindon Town at the weekend, The Cobblers quickly return to action as they prepare to face Millwall in the First Round of the Carling Cup this evening (7:45pm).

Stuart Gray looks likely to hand Poul Hubertz his first start for the club against his old side whilst Giles Coke is the only injury of note going into the game. Gray has said that he intends to field his strongest side that’s available to him to give us every chance of progression.

Millwall will continue to call upon Chris Day in goal to deputise for the injured Lenny Pidgely. Day put in a man of the match performance at Doncaster on Saturday to earn the Lions a draw and is determined to try and keep out his former team mate Hubertz.

THE STORY SO FAR...MILLWALL IN 2007/08

The Lions got off to a decent start to their league campaign on Saturday as they held Doncaster Rovers to a goalless draw at the Keepmoat Stadium. Chris Day made a string of good saves to keep the home side out and to hand ‘Wall a share of the spoils.
