All set for Swindon six pointer
Despite the 4-0 hammering of Stockport, there’s still everything to play for at the bottom of League One. With Swindon hot on our trail in the bid to survive, the Cobblers can breathe a little easier should we take all three points from our game tomorrow night. That won’t be easy though with the Robins having beaten us earlier in the season and they come off the back of a 3-0 win over Hereford at the weekend.
Simon Cox is banging in the goals once again and he’ll be their main threat, with a cluster of new strikers trying to win it for the Cobblers. Big bad Bayo played with a migraine for an hour on Saturday, incredibly looking his usual self and getting on the score sheet in the process.
With Leon signing and scoring for Cheltenham we suddenly look like a new force going forward and Scott Vernon avenged his goal against the Town earlier in the season for Colchester as he scored on his debut. By all account Alexs Prijovic made a good impression as well and all seems a bit more positive in the camp after last weekend’s defeat at Boro.
It’s Saturday-Tuesday near enough all the way for The Cobblers now and the old saying of “squeaky bum time” is certainly in operation at Sixfields. Three points tomorrow and the backsides of everyone involved will becoming that bit more polished.
