Swindon’s 2-0 victory over Southend last night means that they are now level on points with the Cobblers in the race to stay in League One. Yeovil are the unlucky ones who now drop into the bottom four on goal difference, something that we are now grateful of with a tight defence meaning we’re above the drop zone.
Two games in hand are another reason to be optimistic about our plight but it’s the midweek tussles in the next couple of weeks that will shape our season. After Saturday’s game with Stockport, we face Swindon themselves at Sixfields before another midweek clash a week later with Yeovil.
Stuart Gray will be desperate to tie up safety before the final week of the season when we meet MK Dons and Leeds in the final two games and I sincerely hope that it’s all tied up by at least close of play in the Hereford game on April 25th.
