Town ready for Kettering test...

The Cobblers travel to Rockingham Road tonight for their first pre-season friendly on home soil. The now traditional friendly with Kettering Town kicks off at 7:45pm.

Last seasons’ encounter saw a goalless draw being played out in front of a decent size crowd and another good turnout is expected tonight as Town fans get their first glimpse of new signings Colin Larkin, Ian Henderson and Danny Jackman. Giles Coke is still recovering from the injury that’s kept him out of action since January while Jason Crowe and Chris Doig will be hoping to get their first action of the pre-season.

Meanwhile, Fred Murray has joined The Cobblers’ League One rivals Leyton Orient on trial.

The pre-season so far:

UE San Jose 1-3 Cobblers
SD Portmany 0-5 Cobblers
