Dean Bowditch has returned to Ipswich Town upon completion of his two-month loan spell with the Cobblers. Bowditch, who scored two goals in his spell at Sixfields, has returned to his parent club to fight for a first team place.
Cobblers’ boss Stuart Gray said, “Dean said he wanted to return to Ipswich to fight for a first team place. Of course we thank him for his efforts and wish him well back at Portman Road.”
Bowditch struck in the 4-1 win over Bournemouth in December and more recently in the 1-1 home draw with Millwall. Despite his departure, Stuart Gray will have the services of Poul Hubertz again for Friday nights’ home game with Leyton Orient after the big front man completed his suspension by sitting out of the 1-0 win at Gillingham on Saturday.
