Johnson in talks with Leeds

The latest twist in the Brad Johnson transfer story has involved a bid from tomorrow’s opponents Leeds United as Dennis Wise is said to have had a bid of around £250,000 accepted by the Cobblers.

A deal with an undisclosed Championship side fell through during the week and Leeds are set to come in for the midfielder. With the sides meeting at Elland Road, it is not known as yet whether Johnson will be available for selection for the Cobblers for the game.

Talks are set to continue over the next couple of days and the club have said that should it still be the case that Johnson is contracted to the club on Saturday afternoon we would made a decision about his involvement in the game at the time.
