No Saints return to action tonight after a three week winter break to take on fellow promotion friends Red Star Five. Nathan is out for the next few months after he suddenly took his old job in Austria back so the squad is a man down for a while!
But we still have a strong army of 7 available and ready to go as we look to escape the League One drop zone. Red Star Five came up with us last season and last time out in League Two, we pipped them to a pulsating 5-4 win to temporarily take us to the top of the table.
Although we lost out on the last day to Red Star in the title race, we were still both promoted and enjoyed a drink with them at the end of the night. We’ve been chatting to them before games as well so that’s a nice change to have a laugh whatever happens in the game and tonight should be as competitive a game as we’ll have this season.
A win would lift definitely lift us out of the bottom two and also take us above Red Star so all to play for again as we resume the season tonight!
